PEYOTE DREAMING is the long awaited solo album by Melbourne-based musician/producer Don Peyote aka Yvon Mounier. Combining crisp production with intelligent arrangements Don Peyote draws upon indigenous, otherworldly and dub influences to create an intricate soundscape where every moment counts.
Featuring flutes and sax by Dan Richardson, this album is a culmination of 7 years of work in the studio and follows upon his previous album 'Are You Peyoted' (2000).
Since this first release, his musical wizardry has been integral to albums by Australian didjeridoo maestro Ganga Giri and has also been featured on Interchill Records and Green Ant Records compilations. With his newest and freshest compositions to date, Peyote Dreaming is an eclectic sonic odyssey to the far corners of the world set against a backdrop of the natural ambience of the Australian rainforest.

1. guru from ipanema "Mullumbimby talent at it's finest .This CD is being put onto that special spot on the shelf that contains my top ten for 2000. Don Peyote has created a blissful collection of fat-psychedelic, down tempo grooves (apart from track 7, "mullumbimby man" which is a wild psy breakbeat track with a mad horn sweeping through the soundscape-sweet track!) plenty of low down breaks, higher consciousness psychedelic stream, thick acid lines and a whole lot of uninterupted funk. the subtitle most adequately states that it's "a collection of trippy tunes for cosmic go-go dancers" DJ Kandyman, Tekno Renegade magazine This title is currently no longer available for sale. |
